The Hangout Oyster Cook-Off & Craft Beer Weekend NOV 6th -7th

The Hangout Oyster Cook-Off & Craft Beer Weekend showcases the talents and tastes of the best chefs from the Southeast for an afternoon of oysters and spirits on the beach in beautiful Gulf Shores, AL.

Over 60 restaurants at The Hangout will be serving Rockefeller, Gulf Coast Cajun and Raw Oysters. The Oyster Weekend will feature fun & cooking demos from big name chefs like Including Anne Burrell (Food Network), Marc Murphy (Food Network), Jason Roberts (Rachel Ray, The Chew) throughout the day Saturday. They will even have some SEC games on TV.

Oskar Blues, Good People, Straight To Ale, Abita, Lagunitas, Fairhope Brewing, and Goose Island will join over 60 craft beers and you can also sample craft cocktails, champagne, and Bloody Marys throughout the day to help wash the oysters down.

This year, the Cook-Off is debuting the first ever North American Oyster Showcase featuring over 30 oyster growers from all over North America. Stop by the North American Oyster Bar and sample fresh oysters flown in from Pacific Northwest, New England, the Maritimes, British Columbia, the Mid-Atlantic, Baja Peninsula and right here from the Gulf Coast.
