Tennessee Coach Takes Shot at Alabama “In Jest”

Tennessee defensive coordinator Bob Shoop was speaking to a Quarterback Club yesterday in Knoxville, TN and ended his speech with a shot at Alabama football. Grant Ramey was at the event and live tweeted quotes from Shoop (see below).

Ramey went on to tweet that Shoop's comment was supposedly "in jest" - but I think otherwise. Coaches tend to "joke" about things just to get their opinions heard. My question to Shoop is this ... can you really blame the officials for your defense giving up 49 points? Is it the officials fault that Tide QB Jalen Hurts was unstoppable and ran for 132 yards/three touchdowns? And finally, was it really the zebra's fault for Alabama posting 438 yards on the ground? ... Didn't think so. Roll Tide.
