'X Factor' winner Tate Stevens has signed an exclusive recording contract with Syco Music/RCA Records Nashville -- a deal reportedly worth $5 million.

Stevens, 37, took home the top honors last month after beating out teenage powerhouse Carly Rose Sonenclar for the grand prize. The Missouri native performed a selection of hits from country superstars Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Shania Twain and Randy Houser throughout the season to secure the win.

BIg & RIch's John Rich was reportedly one of Stevens's first profile writing appointments following the show. The singer and his entirely family are uprooting to Nashville to allow the country newcomer to focus on his forthcoming project full-time.

“I know what we’re doing. I know the direction we wanna go,” Stevens reveals. “It’s gonna be fun. I’m gonna have some stuff that tug at your heart, country ballads, but I wanna have fun. I’m a fun guy, I love having fun, and I want that to come through on my record.”

Stevens continues to write and record for his Sony Music debut, which is expected to be released later this year.
