Tallulah Brockman Bankhead, born on January 31, 1902 in Huntsville, Alabama. She was an American stage and screen actress and talk-show host who was known for her deep voice and flamboyant personality.

In her autobiography, Bankhead claimed that her "first performance" was witnessed by  Orville and Wilbur Wright after her Aunt Marie gave the famous brothers a party at her home near Montgomery, Alabama. Bankhead wrote that she won top prize after an imitation of her Kindergarten teacher charmed the judges.

Bankhead enjoyed years of success on film and on stages all over the world and died from pneumonia in a Manhattan hospital in 1968. She was inducted into the Alabama Women's Hall of Fame in 1981.
