The first of two annual race weekends in Alabama returns to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend!  With 3 races, 2 concerts and lots of other activities planned, plus sunny skies and temps in the low to mid 70's, there's plaenty of racing action all weekend long.

The big race is the Geico 500 on Sunday, but the action starts on Friday morning with practice for all three series races throughout the day.  Parking areas open at 7am, the Fan Zone opens at 8 and gates open at 8:30.  The green flag drops on the General Tire 200 ARCA Series race at 5pm.  The Big One on the Blvd begins on the infield at 7 with concerts from House of Thomas in North Park and A Band Called River in South Park.

Saturday parking areas open at 5am, with Fan Zone opening at 8am and the grandstands at 9am.  Qualifying for the Xfinity series race begins at 10am with qualifying for the Geico 500 getting underway at 12:05pm.  Green flag for the Sparks Energy 300 is at 2pm, and the infield concert starring Uncle Kracker at 7.

On Sunday for the main event, parking areas again open at 5am, with Fan Zone opening at 8am and the grandstands at 9am.  Driver introductions will get underway at 12:20pm with the Geico 500 running at 1pm.

 

The Geico 500 is the tenth race of the 2018 Monster Energy Cup Series, with Kyle Busch leading the way in the current Cup standings (followed in the top five by Joey Logano, Clint Bowyer, Kevin Harvick and Brad Keselowski).

Concessions are available throughout the park, with adult concessions available in Fan Zone bars, Clyde May's Whiskey Tower Tavern and Miller Lite Pavilion.
