The Swon Brothers were familiar with the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital long before competing on 'The Voice' or signing a country record deal. Zach and Colton Swon say their mom has been a longtime supporter of the children's hospital. Still, visiting there for the first time was much different than what they expected.

“Going there, seeing it first time it really changes your life," Colton tells Taste of Country. He adds that all the patients he and Zach met had mature spirits. Zach says he found himself trying to match their toughness.

A girl named Hayley sang for the 'Later On' singers during their tour in January, while another boy named Caleb keeps in touch via Facebook. The 12-year-old left a lasting impression on these two men, who explain that they wish everyone could visit St. Jude to see the warm care they provide.

This week, Taste of Country pressed pause on coverage of all but the most pressing news stories in an effort to raise money for St. Jude. For 25 years, country radio, artists and record labels have helped raise more than $500 million, ensuring that no one ever pays a dime for treatment at St. Jude.

“No child should die in the dawn of life,” founder Danny Thomas once said. Help make that wish a reality by making a donation or becoming a Partner in Hope when you click the button below. Donations can be made by phone at 800-411-9898.
