Everyone has heard of the expression "It's raining cats and dogs," but who knew fish could fall from the sky!

In April of 1956, a couple in Uniontown, Alabama noticed that the sky over their farm was starting to look dreary. All of a sudden, catfish, bass, and bream began plummeting from the dark clouds. The rain only lasted around fifteen minutes but the farmer and his wife were stunned.

According to National Geographic, "animal rain" is "a real weather phenomenon that happens when small animals get swept up in waterspouts or updrafts, and then fall to Earth with raindrops." In the past, there have also been reports of snakes, frogs, and jellyfish in other parts of the world.
