Strange Alabama – Jerry Brown Pottery

In today's Strange Alabama Madison and Shepherd highlighted a unique folk artist. Located in the northwest Alabama city of Hamilton, Jerry Brown Pottery is the only known mule-powered pug mill still operating in the United States, according to jerrybrownpottery.com.

Jerry Brown was awarded the Alabama Folk Heritage Award for 2003 and the prestigious National Heritage Award from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1992
