Stokes Family Talks Record Breaking Alabama Alligator

The alligator Mandy Stokes put her tag on with the help of her husband John Stokes, brother-in-law Kevin Jenkins and his children Savannah, 16, and Parker 14, after a five-hour fight was measured by Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries personnel at 15 feet even and weighed in at 1,011.5 pounds.

News reports greeted online visitors as they woke up Sunday morning, but it wasn’t until the Monday morning work crowd reached their desks that things got interesting for the Stokes in particular.
