Social Media Meltdown Over ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Death

My Facebook news feed blew up almost instantly after Derek Shepherd was killed off the eleventh season finale of 'Grey's Anatomy'.

The mourning continued on Twitter the day after with anger toward creator Shonda Rhimes for 'destroying' 'Grey's Anatomy'.

I watched the first four or five seasons but I lost interest somewhere along the way. Still, it was shocking to hear a major character had been written out of the show.

I just hope Shonda doesn't do something crazy like make Derek's death just a really bad dream for Meredeth or some other character.
