Should you grab the candy bar instead?
We don’t want our kids to eat all that Halloween candy, but each day we get a coffee (or 2) that has twice as much sugar than that candy bar!
The New York Post compared the sugar contents of some popular drinks at Starbucks with some candy favorites. They found that a Grande Java Chip Frappuccino has more than double the sugar of 2 bags of M&M’s. The “Grand Pumpkin Spice Latte has twice the sugar of a Hershey’s Chocolate bar, and the Grande Cinnamon Dolce Crene Frappuccino has almost triple the sugar of a Dove Silky Smooth Cookies & Creme Bar.
Something to keep in mind the next time we scold the kids for eating too much candy…with a large Starbucks cup in our hand.
