A heads up, on the potential for severe weather around Tuscaloosa and West Alabama for Thursday Night (June 5th).

Our weather pal, James Spann has tweeted info on a "moderate risk" for severe weather in North Alabama. The main risk would come from strong straight line winds.

The map does show Tuscaloosa and West Alabama outside of the "moderate" area, yet we are in the "slight" risk area shaded in yellow.

Still, we should weather alert as the National Weather Service office in Birmingham warns of potential risks. Those risks for us through 10pm include, the possibility of strong straight line winds, and large hail. This update is demonstrated in the map below.
