Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for West Alabama, and some of them could be severe. Here's the latest from the National Weather Service in Birmingham. 

Tomorrow's forecast calls for a 30% chance of rain showers and a high near 82 degrees. This warmer weather sets the stage for severe weather on Thursday, as severe storms could develop in the unstable atmosphere.

As you can see from the map above, Thursday's severe weather is anticipated to arrive between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in West Alabama. Tornadoes are possible as well as damaging winds of 60 miles per hour. We'll continue to watch the forecast and bring you the latest updates.
