Severe storms are possible across the state Wednesday, with a higher risk for storms in West Alabama.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has already placed almost all of our listening area under an elevated risk area for Wednesday's storms. Damaging winds of up to 60 MPH, quarter-size hail, and tornadoes are all possible.

The rest of the state is under a limited risk area; damaging winds of up to 60 MPH and quarter size hail are possible.

The current forecast has storms projected to impact Alabama between noon and 10 p.m. We'll continue to provide you updates as the forecast develops.
