Severe Storms Likely Tonight, Tomorrow Across Alabama
Severe storms are in the forecast for many in Alabama this weekend, and the first round of storms is expected to arrive in our area as early as 7 p.m. tonight.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has placed Tuscaloosa in an "Enhanced" risk area for this initial round of storms. Damaging winds of 60 miles an hour or higher are possible. Take a look at the graphic above to see the latest projected arrival time of storms.
More severe weather is possible tomorrow as well. The National Weather Service currently believes the eastern portion of Alabama is at a higher risk for severe storm development in this secondary event; however, it is still necessary to stay weather aware tomorrow.
