Security expert Robert Graham has warned of a new bug that's an '11' on a scale of 10, that threatens to do more damage than 'Heartbleed'.

The Bash or 'Shellshock' bug could mean disaster for 'major digital companies, small-scale Web hosts and even Internet-connected devices'. According to Graham, the security flaw "can easily worm past firewalls and infect lots of systems" which would be "'game over' for large networks". Even scarier, Security researcher Bruce Schneier called the flaw "catastrophic".

Sadly, there's no easy fix but your company's IT department should be able to install the patch. For regular folks, you can see Red Hat's full report here as well as get instructions on how to test your system.

Drink LOTS of coffee before digging in.
