A lot of folks may have some serious 'splainin to do after 32 million Ashley Madison users found their information published online by hacktavist group, Team Impact.

Ashely Madison is a dating website that encourages married individuals to have an affair because life is short. Last month, they were ordered by the group to remove the website or risk the publication of sensitive data. Yesterday, the complete database was released after the group claimed that 'time was up'.

Several critics have claimed that not all accounts were legitimately created and warn that innocent people will have their lives ruined by this information.

Avid Life Media released the following statement:

"This event is not an act of hacktivism, it is an act of criminality. It is an illegal action against the individual members of AshleyMadison.com, as well as any freethinking people who choose to engage in fully lawful online activities..."

Several searchable databases have cropped up online (here, here, here and here) but it's important to remember that the information released in the data dump still needs to be verified.
