Sea Lice have been confirmed along the Florida panhandle and could be moving toward the Alabama coast.

Sea lice usually make their presence known during summer months when the water is warm and people began frolicking in the ocean. The lice can get caught in swimming suits and their bites can cause some serious welts and hardcore itching also known as 'seabather's eruption'.

Orange Beach officials told WIAT they had not received any reports of sea lice in Alabama, but if any beach goer does get bitten some cortisone cream should help with itching (but not much).
