Now that one arrest has been made in last week's home invasionScotty McCreery is giving more details on what exactly happened on May 5.

It started out as an innocent and fun evening; the 'See You Tonight' hitmaker and his Raleigh, N.C. buddies grabbed takeout from a local burger joint. Then, they planned to watch 'Gladiator' together while enjoying their grub.

As McCreery and company were enjoying the movie, there was a knock at the door. "One of the guys who lived there, he just figured it was a neighbor," McCreery tells USA Today.

"He looked through his peep-hole -- the guys didn't have a mask or gloves, so he didn't look suspicious at all."

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Continues McCreery, "My friend opened the door to see if he had a question, and we think the other three guys were nestled up against the door so we couldn't see them in the peephole. As soon as the door opened an inch, they barged in, guns waving."

They weren't just any guns, as the 'American Idol' winner points out. "The first guy in the room had an assault rifle, and he put that right against the sternum of the guy who opened the door. The main guy, who was casing the living room, he had a pistol to my head and a pistol at another guy's head."

While the robbers were in the apartment, they took over $1,600 worth of electronics and cash, which included McCreery’s iPhone and a $1,200 laptop belonging to a friend.

Although one man has been arrested in the case, the other guys still have not been found. The incident understandably rattled McCreery, and his sister even admitted to sleeping with pepper spray.

"It definitely puts your life in perspective when you're staring down the barrel of a pistol," admits the country star.
