Scam Alert- Calls in Tuscaloosa

Okay. Am I the only one that gets an average of three SCAM ALERT calls on my cellphone every day? Seriously. My caller ID says SCAM ALERT. My question is how does my phone determine a SCAM ALERT call?

My friend answers these calls with Sheriff's Department Fraud Division! Great idea. They hang up immediately.

Many are IRS posers, usually with a thick accent saying "I'm from the Government".

A friend says when a phone number is making lots of calls to different numbers, the phone company may identify the calls as scams.

I rarely answer any SCAM ALERT call. Maybe I will start terrorizing them when they call.
