Apple has announced the iPhone 7 and 7s will be released in September 2016. The rumored changes suggests the latest iteration in their smart phone line-up will not include a headphone jack.

The internet is always rife with speculation (a good deal of which is wrong) with upcoming changes in Apple's upcoming generational release of their iPhone lineup. The majority of (rumored) changes have been embraced but one 'leaked' rendered image of the latest release suggests a traditional headphone jack will not be included. One obvious conclusion to draw from that is the age of wireless headphones is upon us.

Some other rumored features and/or changes to the iPhone 7 and 7s are:
1. Display: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch 3D Touch, but likely with a QHD display of 2560 x 1440 resolution (an increase from 1920 x 1080)
2. Design: Relatively same design of the iPhone 6s but the antenna is rumored to be moved to the front.
3. Increased Storage: 32, 64, 128, and maybe 256GB
4. CPU and RAM: A10 (+1) processor, 3GB RAM (+1)
5. Front Camera: 5MP with wide angle lens
6. Rear Camera: Dual lens 12MP (for the Plus model), 4K video recording, optical image stabilization.
7. Ports: NO headphone jack, Lightning port, Smart Connector

There's additional speculation that the iPhone 7 could be waterproof which would be enough to sell me on the expected $900 price tag.
