Hollywood has lost one of its most prolific supporting actors today, as Twin Peaks star and storied actor Miguel Ferrer has lost a battle with cancer. The recognizable star identified with everything from the original RoboCop to NCIS has passed away at age 61.

Per Deadline, the Santa Monica native had been battling cancer, and is also remembered as the son of Oscar-winning Cyrano de Bergerac star Jose Ferrer. In addition to portraying Owen Granger on NCIS: Los Angeles for the last five years, Miguel Ferrer will also be seen in the upcoming Twin Peaks revival, reprising his role as FBI Agent Albert Rosenfeld.

Ferrer began his career in the early 1980s with guest appearances on TV shows like Magnum P.I., later appearing in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and portraying the villainous creator of RoboCop in 1987. He could even be seen as the Vice President of Iron Man 3, and could be found lending his voice to everything from Young Justice to Adventure Time.

Best wishes to all those mourning Ferrer’s loss, and we’ll see you in Twin Peaks.
