Nick Saban's success at Alabama has a lot to do with the elite recruiting classes he signs every year, but his ability to reload his football staff each offseason might be more impressive.

The latest addition to the Crimson Tide staff is former Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke, who will join Alabama as an offensive analyst. Aaron Suttles first reported that the former quarterbacks coach with the Rams will become an offensive analyst for Saban. That role has recently been held by Steve Sarkisian, Mike Locksley, and briefly by Clint Trickett this offseason.

Weinke led Florida State to a national championship in 1998 before playing seven years in the NFL. After retirement, he help begin the football program at IMG Academy. He coached current Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough during his final high school season in 2013.

Suttles discussed the hire a bit more during his show, The Suttles Approach. You can hear what he said in the video below.
