Randy Houser brings the beat back with "Chasing Down a Good Time," the third single from his Fired Up album. The kick drum provides the heartbeat for this easy-to-appreciate love song.

Houser tells the story of two lovers creating their own heat when everyone has gone home to bed. A pulsing chorus drives the song, underlining a signature the progressive “We Went” inked prior to the release of his latest studio album. “Chasing Down a Good Time” isn’t remarkable for its lyricism or Houser’s vocals. It’s all about the big wall of sound that blasts your hat off.

Houser’s voice is built for traditional country music, but with the help of producer Derek George he’s molded himself into one of the genre’s more progressive singers. Jason Aldean is now a comparable contemporary, although Luke Bryan would also do well on many of the songs he’s cut in recent years.

Did You Know?: Houser is currently on the road with Cam and Dierks Bentley.

Randy Houser's "Chasing Down a Good Time" Lyrics:

We don't turn out the lights / Cause the party's never over / We stare down the sun / Make it rise a little slower / While everyone else is fast asleep / We'll crank it up, we'll feel the beat / We'll feel the heat, you and me.”

Chorus:
“Somewhere in the shadows / In between the street lights / Runnin' with our eyes closed / Chasing down a good time / We ain't got forever / Living for the moment / Any way we want it / Take it like we own it / Somewhere in the shadows / In between the street lights /  Baby this is our night our life / Chasing down a good time.”

“I love to watch your lips / When they sing your favorite song / Then they turn into a kiss / And I can't help but sing along / While everyone else is fast asleep / We'll crank it up, we'll feel the beat / We'll feel the heat, you and me.”
