A rally organized by the Guardians of Rescue and Alabama Voters for Responsible Legislation (AVRAL) is taking place at 11 am today in front of Tuscaloosa City Hall.

The reason for the rally is to bring attention to the horrific video that recently surfaced of a cat being beaten with a belt and strangled by a UA student.

Both the Guardians of Rescue and AVRAL are asking the Tuscaloosa Police Department to uphold the law and be vigilant in their investigation of the cat beaten and choked in the Video.

A quote about the matter on the Guardians of Rescue's Facebook page states,

We will not stand silent when we can be one huge voice for animal abuse.

The public is invited to join the rally today.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department has also confirmed that no arrest warrant has been issued and their investigation is still ongoing.
