RaeLynn had a very special date for the 2017 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 2) in Las Vegas, Nev.: The "Love Triangle" singer brought her father!

Normally, RaeLynn's awards show date would be her husband, Josh Davis, whom the singer wed in February of 2016. However, Davis couldn't attend the ACMs this year with his wife, as he recently joined the military and is currently away at boot camp -- so RaeLynn invited her dad along to country music's biggest party.

“My dad’s going to be my date to the ACMs,” RaeLynn told Nash Country Daily in the days leading up to the 2017 ACM Awards. “He’s really excited about it. He’s from Louisiana, and he has a crazy accent. He’s super funny.”

Of course, RaeLynn couldn't help but gush about how much she loves her dad and how excited she was to bring him to the ACMs.

“He’s going to make me more famous by just how hilarious he is,” RaeLynn noted before the show. “My dad is like a character out of a book. He’s awesome, He’s the coolest dude in the world.”

Fresh off the March 24 release of her debut album, WildHorse, RaeLynn is already having a huge year and is gearing up for even more. Throughout February and March, she joined her The Voice coach Blake Shelton for his 2017 Doin’ It to Country Songs Tour, and beginning in April, the "God Made Girls" singer will head out on her own for her first-ever headlining trek, the RaVe Tour.
