Alabama defensive end Raekwon Davis returned to practice for the first time after suffering a gunshot wound over the weekend.

Head coach Nick Saban confirmed the sophomore's return during his press conference on Wednesday evening.

"Raekwon Davis did do a little bit of stuff in practice today," Saban said. "He's still day-to-day and it's a medical decision as to when he can come back and be able to play."

Davis hadn't been at practice during the media viewing period on Monday or Tuesday but was working with the first group according to Ryan Fowler on The Game. At this point, signs point towards him playing on Saturday against Florida State.

The Crimson Tide will practice again on Thursday before traveling to Atlanta on Friday. Tide 102.9 and 100.9 will have full coverage of the matchup between No. 1 and No. 3 during Gameday All Day beginning at 2 PM/CT.
