Pre-Sale Tickets for Sturgill Simpson at Alabama Theater Sell Out Quickly

One of the wildest phenomenons in the world of music over the past two years has been the epic rise of Sturgill Simpson. 

I first saw Simpson open for Jason Isbell at Iron City in Birmingham in December of 2013. I had no idea who Sturgill Simpson was prior to the show but believe me when I tell you, I left there with my face stuck to my phone trying to find out more online.

I followed up, luckily getting a ticket to his sold out show at WorkPlay Theater in November of 2014 and sat with a couple I didn't even know, just so I'd have a seat. By the time I saw him at Sloss Fest in 2015, half of the crowd was singing along to each song he played. The rise of Sturgill Simpson was now at it's peak.

The New York Times recently described his third album 'A Sailor's Guide to Earth' as, "A Genuine Alternative To Alt Country."

There's little wonder that when pre-sale tickets for his September 11th show at Alabama Theatre were put up on Ticketmaster this morning, they immediately sold out!
