Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam producer Rendy Lovelady said,

The level of talent that came out to our Regional Competitions was remarkable. The talent in Tallahassee, Auburn, and Birmingham really stood out to us. We felt that more than one act from these cities deserved a shot at the Finals and the chance to perform at Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam. Instead of 10 finalists we now will have 13. Anyone in town the night before the festival begins should plan on joining us at Tootsie’s because this is going to be a battle you don’t want to miss.

The Pepsi Southern Original Finals will be held at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge in Panama City Beach, FL on August 28th at 9:30pm. After the votes are tallied, that night the winner will be crowned and land an opening slot the night Blake Shelton performs on the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam festival Main Stage, studio time, a music video shoot and numerous other prizes. To accommodate the added contestants, Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam has opened up three extra performance slots on the Beach Stage.

Along with hosting the Pepsi Southern Original Finale, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge has signed on to be the Official Late Night Venue for the festival. Festivalgoers can continue the fun after the concert at Tootsie’s where they will have live music each night.

Last year’s winner, Andrew Salgado, was the first ever Pepsi South Original and had the opportunity to open up for Darryl Worley, Eli Young Band, and Toby Keith during the inaugural Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam. Salgado has gone on to release his debut single, “Dance On,” which was written and recorded with Darryl Worley and Jim “Moose” Brown. The music video can be found here and the single is available now on iTunes.

The Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam is taking place in Panama City Beach, FL on Labor Day Weekend, Friday, August 29th through Sunday, August 31st. Tickets are available and can be found here.
