You've heard the expression, "Go wash your mouth out with soap". Well now, some teens are actually doing it, by putting Tide Laundry Detergent pods in their mouths in the latest social media fad known as the "Tide Pod Challenge".

Now, manufacturers have been concerned about infants putting Pods in their mouths for a few years, due to the fact that they might mistake a Pod for a piece of candy. However, teens, (who should know better), are popping them in their mouths willfully, and posting videos of the results online, for a shot of instant YouTube fame. In fact, check out these Einsteins....

According to CBS News, at least 10 deaths have been linked to ingesting these pods. Two were toddlers, eight were seniors with dementia. They estimate that more than 62,000 children under the age of six were exposed to laundry and dishwasher detergents, between 2013 and 2014.

Procter & Gamble, the maker of Tide products, warns this warding about Pods.

Ingredients in the pods include ethanol, hydrogen peroxide and polymers – a highly-toxic mix of detergent meant to clean clothes, not serve as an after dinner mint.

In any event, if you're even thinking about doing this, DON'T, because it's STUPID!
