Northport resident Adam Hood sat down with Brent Cobb and Miranda Lambert to write a song one day and that track will now be featured on The Weight of These Wings.

Miranda's new record will officially be released on November 18th so I'm sure there will be a party at Hood's house that day to celebrate the accomplishment and hope that I'm invited!

Already an accomplished songwriter, Hood has enjoyed hearing others perform songs he's written for years. Little Big Town included the Hood penned 'Front Porch Thing' on their Tornado album and even sent a framed record for his wall when they achieved Platinum status. Other notable songs in his repertoire include: 'Grandpa's Farm' recorded by David Nail, Frankie Ballard and others, 'Go Outside and Dance' recorded by Eli Young Band and 'The Way You Said Goodbye' recorded by Lee Ann Womack, among others.

Lambert‘s new The Weight of These Wings album will include two discs and 24 songs. Disc one is titled "The Nerve" while disc two will be "The Heart." The second track on disc two features the song 'Good Ol’ Days' with songwriting credits going to Lambert, Brent Cobb, and Adam Hood.

In 2014, Hood released Welcome to the Big World and to quote the bio on his website, “The 11-track collection is a biographical masterpiece that ranges from Delbert McClinton roadhouse rock to Kris Kristofferson storyteller folk.”

The fourth track on the release and the subject of his latest video is a country rocker called ‘Bar Band.’ It tells the story of the many hard working musicians across the country who help us to forget the woes of the workweek as they supply the soundtrack heard inside our favorites bars each weekend. Check out the video.

Congrats my friend!
