Preparation and planning is almost complete for the Alabama football team, and Nick Saban gave one final update to the media before the LSU game.

The top-ranked Crimson Tide will play its fourth straight ranked opponent - all conference games - and Saban said competitors relish the big stage.

"It's another opportunity for our team," Saban said. "If you're a great competitor, you love games like this. We've had four games where we've played really good teams in our league and this is obviously one of the best teams in our league as well."

The biggest news from the press conference was the injury status of running backs B.J. Emmons and Bo Scarbrough. Both players were absent from Wednesday's practice.

"B.J. Emmons sprained his foot. He's out indefinitely. Bo Scarbrough was ill today but we don't think it's something that is real serious but we'll take it day-to-day."

Without those two, Alabama would lack depth at the running back position on Saturday night. The load would fall on Damien Harris and Joshua Jacobs, both of which have run the ball well this season.
