Alabamians hit the polls today to cast a vote in the Alabama Senate special election, but not everyone voted for Roy Moore or Doug Jones.

Some voters decided to cast a write-in ballot after refusing to pick either of the two candidates. It's probably not surprising that one name that's made its way into the race is Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

If you're wondering whether people are actually writing his name in for the Senate seat, MSNBC interviewed one man after he finished voting that confirmed his vote for the football coach.

In all seriousness, the write-in vote could have an impact on the outcome of the race. Many people believe Republicans would be the ones casting that vote, which would take away from Moore's total.

The polls close around the state at 7 PM/CT and counts will start coming in shortly after.
