Dixie Chicks frontwoman Natalie Maines has filed for divorce from Adrian Pasdar, her husband of 17 years, citing irreconcilable differences. TMZ reports that the split is amicable.

The country star has allegedly requested joint custody of the couple's two sons, Jackson Slade, 16, and Beckett Finn, 12. When contacted by TMZ, Maines' rep declined to comment on the divorce, due to it being a "private family matter."

Maines and Pasdar married on June 24, 2000 at the famed Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, just after the iconic country music trio played a sold-out show. The couple met at Dixie Chicks bandmate Emily Robison's wedding to Charlie Robison in 1999 — Maines was a bridesmaid and Pasdar a groomsman, according to People.

Pasdar — an actor, who appeared on the show Heroes — played the role of a police officer in the music video for the Dixie Chicks' late '90s hit "Goodbye Earl."
