Mystery Keys – How Many Do You Have?

I carry around a pile of keys. It hit me today that I really don't know what they all are for.

I recognize my car two keys of course. My house key and the radio station keys gets used everyday. The other keys...I have no idea. I thought about taking them off and slimming down this 1lb wad but I am scared I may find myself needing one of them one day.

I also have at least a dozen loose keys in a drawer at my house that I have no idea what they unlock. I can't bring myself to get rid of them. The weird part to me is the fact that the keys were once part of my everyday life and somehow the need for them slowly faded. I suppose I could make up stories and say the other keys on my ring are for my beach house, my jet ski and my safety deposit box in Cancun.

Do you have random keys on your key chain or stored in a drawer at home? Why is it so hard to let go?
