Every family probably has at least one unusual Christmas tradition. My family has more than one.

We decided when i turned 16 that we would open presents on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas morning. Thinking was then we could sleep in on Christmas morning. It worked for us.

We've also eaten boiled shrimp as our Christmas Eve big meal for as long as I can remember. Nothing says Christmas like boiled shrimp! I eat them all year, but they are never as good as on Christmas Eve with my family.

My mama is a bow saver. We had to open presents slowly so as to not destroy the bows. Anybody else?
I will never forget that one Christmas when mama decided we were going too save wrapping paper too. It took two hours to open gifts. Thank God somebody invented gift bags. A gift from God.

Here's to tradition. Even if it is a little twisted. Merry Christmas!
