The Alabama Museum of Natural History is sponsoring MothFest! at Moundville Archaeological Park as part of National Moth Week.

Yes, National Moth Week is an actual thing! It's a time for celebrating the beauty, life cycles, and habitats of moths. “Moth-ers” of all ages and abilities are encouraged to learn about, observe, and document moths in their backyards, parks, and neighborhoods.

During MothFest, museum staff will have special light and bait stations set up to help attract moths.

MothFest will take place at Moundville Archaeological Park and Museum on Saturday, July 23rd from 7-10 pm. For more information, follow their event page on Facebook.
