One of the coolest things to ever happen in my life was the day I got a beer named after me.

Monk on the Radio Belgian Blonde from Band of Brothers Brewing Company has been one of the most popular beers poured in Tuscaloosa since the brewery opened on September 24, 2015.

Call it a collaboration if you want, but I’ll just call it Band of Brothers head brew master Jeremiah remembering what he and I talked about one night over a beer. We’ve spent many an hour talking about brewing, different flavors and our love for the craft.

I feel like during one of those conversations, I mentioned my love for spicy beer and how cracked peppercorns is one of my favorite smells and flavors. Well, he took our conversation and ‘Monk On the Radio Belgian Blonde Ale’ was born. The name actually comes from my handle on social media, @MonkOnTheRadio! It's not only used on Twitter but also Instagram and Facebook.

I'm excited to announce that sometime in mid-June, you'll be able to purchase 6-pack bottles of Monk on the Radio Belgian Blonde in stores across Tuscaloosa, Birmingham and Montgomery! As a matter of fact, the packaging came this week!

The 6-pack holder ever has Tuscaloosa's brand "The One and Only" slightly above my name! What an exciting honor this has been and to see it go this far is absolutely amazing! Thank you as well for trying it and hopefully loving it!
