Monk Eating Pie to Raise Money for Big Brothers Big Sisters

On Thursday, Monk will take part in a pie-eating contest hosted by United Way of West Alabama's Young Leadership Society. 

The contest will take place in Temerson Square, just outside of Don Tonio's and runs from 5:30-7 pm. As contestants, we will not be able to use our hands for the first thirty seconds which is probably the most difficult challenge but will make for a killer Facebook profile pic! Then we'll be aloud to shovel what pie is left into our mouths along with some water.

There are two ways I can win...

1. Raise the most money
2. Be the first to finish my pie

So here's where you come in... when you arrive tomorrow, buy your tickets and put them in the jar marked for me or Big Brothers Big Sisters. 100% of the proceeds benefit United Way of West Alabama and their partner agencies. Last year's event raised $1,600.
