In preparation of pending inclement weather, I just talked with Vickie Powell of the Red Cross. She says that volunteers are on standby and ready to activate if necessary, but they won't begin setting up shelters until any danger has passed.

She also says that while not everyone has a weather radio, most people have smart phones.  You can go to your Apps store or Play Store and download the American Red Cross tornado app.  For those that live in flood zones, you may also download the flood app.

At the top, you can enter your location as well as any others you'd like to monitor. Of course, I put in the county, my job, and my home addresses.  I suggest anyone without a weather radio to download the app if possible.
