Missing Tuscaloosa man found dead in overturned vehicle

Charles Gordon Cardinal, the Tuscaloosa man reported missing early Tuesday morning, was found dead Thursday afternoon in an overturned vehicle at the bottom a ravine.

Lt. Teena Richardson, a spokeswoman for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said officers were called to a 50-foot ravine near the intersection of Hargrove Road and Loop Road where a white Toyota Tacoma was spotted upside down.

Richardson said Cardinal, 66, was found inside. Investigators are still processing the scene to determine what caused the fatal accident.
