"We don't need more Cowbell at Bryant-Denny" says Wild Bill on 953 The Bear today.  "I'm like Barney Fife around old stills in Mayberry, POW, POW, POW!"  Wild Bill says the use of Cowbells is poor sportsmanship cause it's an "unfair loud noise-maker."

A Cowbell is for calling livestock, not for ringing when you finally get a first down midway thru the 2nd quarter.  I believe anything a fan does to annoy others sitting nearby is poor sportsmanship.  I'm simply trying to encourage visiting fans to be good guests in our home thats all.  People that being Cowbells or loud horns and such to me display poor sportsmanship in my opinion.  I've personally sat next to a fan that would ring it every time MSU got a first down and it was my worst experience ever attending a game at Bryant-Denny.  I think Bama won that game 37-7, and MSU had like 38 yards rushing that day and that guy rang that bell at least 40 times..."whats that, a ding-a-ling for each yard?" I remember asking the man wearing maroon colored pants.

Wild Bill predicts Bama to win 49-14 over MSU on Saturday.
