The 2016 American Country Countdown Awards opened with a collaborative performance by Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles and Cam. The three country women teamed up for a collaboration on McBride’s “This One’s for the Girls.”

The trio took to a brightly lit stage, with Nettles on the microphone first, adding her own flair to the classic. From there, Cam took lead vocals, looking darling in a black dress with colorful floral accents -- and yellow shoes, of course. Her voice melded with Nettles' well, before the duo were joined by McBride, who powerfully walked out onto the stage.

Upon seeing McBride, the crowd let out a huge roar, showing their appreciation for the singer. The trio, all in black, let their voices be the stars of the performance, rather than relying on elaborate stage design.

Written by Chris Lindsey, Hillary Lindsey and Aimee Mayo, “This One’s for the Girls” became a Top 5 hit on the country charts following its release in 2003; it also hit No. 1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. The song was the first single from McBride’s Martina album, and featured background vocals from Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Faith Hill and McBride’s daughters Delaney and Emma.

Most recently, McBride released a brand-new album, Reckless, on April 29. Nettles also has a new album, Playing With Fire, set for release on May 13.
