Little Big Town brought their game faces to the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular on Monday (July 4). The country group was a highlight at the event, now in its 43rd year, which brings together popular musicians and the orchestra at the Hatch Shell in Boston, Mass., by the Charles River Esplanade.

LBT's performance of "Girl Crush" with the accomplished strings crew was a throwback to their ethereal 2016 Grammy Awards performance, during which the emotive, Grammy-winning song was slightly stripped down; readers can press play on the video above to watch. According to the Boston Globe, Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet also sang their hits "Pavement Ends," "Little White Church," “Pontoon” and “Boondocks" during the show, and treated the crowd to “Miracle” from their new LP Wanderlust, a collaborative album with Pharrell Williams.

Wanderlust, a collection of eight songs, is "not a country record," Fairchild says; instead, it's simply a project that was a whole lot of fun for the country quartet to put together.

“It’s fun to be spontaneous and put it out there to the fans because we want to, and not to overthink it but just because it has brought us a lot of joy, and we think it will for them as well,” Fairchild adds. “So why not? We’re going with our gut and putting it out there. It’s just music, you know?”

Wanderlust is available for download via iTunes. Other performers at the 2016 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular included Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas.
