Report: Law Enforcement Officer Involved In Traffic Altercation

ABC 33/40 reported an emergency involving a law enforcement officer in Brookwood, Alabama. The station reported helicopters were seen hovering near Covered Bridge road and residents have been advised to lock their doors.

A law enforcement officer not authorized to speak to the media said the officer involved was conducting a traffic stop when the driver attempted to run him over. The officer fired several rounds, but neither the driver or police officer sustained any injuries.
