From New York to Dallas, NFL teams and hunger relief organizations have teamed up to offer local residents exciting Taste of the NFL events and now they're coming to T-Town!

To date, Taste of The NFL’s programs and events have raised $22 million dollars to help feed the 37 million Americans, (many of them children and seniors), who have turned to their local food banks for assistance. The season long efforts culminate each year with the Taste of the NFL’s Party with a Purpose. Held on the eve of Super Bowl XLIX on Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Scottsdale, this year’s star-studded fundraising event brings together exceptional cuisine, prominent chefs from around the country, NFL players, coaches, legends and more, all to support the fight against hunger.

Kozy’s Restaurant, Carpe Vino and United Johnson Brothers are teaming up with Taste of the NFL to host a fundraising event at 6pm on November 24, benefiting the West Alabama Food Bank. With the purchase of a ticket for $50, Kozy’s will provide heavy hors d’oeuvres and 8 wine tastings to participants while showing the NFL game. 10% of profits will be donated to the local food bank in an effort to end hunger in the Tuscaloosa community.

Kozy's owner Tim Killion said,

We are thrilled to have been open for almost a year now. The community has embraced our efforts to keep Kozy’s a part of Tuscaloosa’s culture and we saw hosting this event as a great opportunity to give back.

Kozy’s partnership with Taste of the NFL establishes local support for eradicating hunger in the Tuscaloosa community. During the event, each bottle of wine purchased donates 2.5 meals to the West Alabama Food Bank; each case purchased donates 30 meals.
