Kenny Chesney fans took the Hot Pepper Karaoke challenge last weekend, and it wasn't pretty. It sure was funny, though. Watch as nearly a dozen of his fans at the Taste of Country Music Festival pepper up for a chance at internet fame.

Chesney has been announced to headline at the 2016 ToC Festival, which runs June 10-12 at Hunter Mountain in New York. Tickets are currently on sale for a limited time only for that huge event, and ToC asked some crazy country fans to celebrate by taking a shot at some of the superstar's biggest hits, with a twist.

"American Kids" and "Summertime" are the two most popular songs chosen by contestants. We can't figure out why they didn't want to sing a ballad like "Who You'd Be Today." OK, maybe real tears and pepper tears are a bad mix. Honestly, it doesn't matter which of the 2016 ToC Fest headliner's songs they chose, the result was truly amazing.

If you can't figure out how it works, or if you need a tutorial on this amazing way to make karaoke even better, here's a primer. Start with a willing (possibly tipsy) country fan. Add a jalapeño pepper and Kenny Chesney song and stand back. The seeds do the work for you!

Typical reactions include gagging, coughing, swearing, begging of water, red face and general hysteria. Kids, don't try this without the supervision of a trained Hot Pepper Karaoke professional. All contestants played at the 2015 Taste of Country Music Festival in Hunter, N.Y. last weekend. This year's event drew a record 50,000 fans to see headlining performances from Keith Urban, Tim McGraw and Toby Keith.

2016 promises to be even bigger with the addition of Chesney, one of the most popular concert draws in music. Click the button below to get your tickets for 2016 now, and make sure you don't miss out on the fun! This is an advance sale, so tickets won't be available for long.
