Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood have released the music video for their new duet, "The Fighter." Readers can press play above to watch.

In their "The Fighter" clip, Urban and Underwood perform the single together on a boxing ring-esque set -- a darkened room lit up by a square of bright lights. Shots of the two country superstars casually performing "The Fighter" together are interspersed with clips of a dancer breaking it down late at night in a desolate urban area.

“The Fighter” is written in a call-and-response style, so it sounds as though Urban and Underwood are replying back and forth to one another in the song’s chorus. Urban says that the song came to him "pretty quickly," and that he was inspired by "thinking about how long it’d been since I heard a song with a guy and girl actually speaking back and forth to each other.”

"It’s a song about helping to heal and protect someone you love. It’s a song about reassurance that you’ll always be there to take the blows the world can throw," Urban adds. "Carrie and I had sung together before, and I thought our voices blended really well — so she was unquestionably the right choice. It was such a relief that she wanted to do it.”

Urban and Underwood recently toured Australia and New Zealand together, in December. On Sunday night (Feb. 12), the two performed “The Fighter” together during the 2017 Grammy Awards.
