Keith Urban has released the music video for his most recent single, "Blue Ain't Your Color." Directed by Carter Smith, the simple, retro-feeling, black-and-white clip stars supermodel and actress Amber Valletta, who portrays a broken-hearted woman in an empty bar.

Readers can press play above to watch the "Blue Ain't Your Color" video, which also features Urban and his band as the ones whose music compels Valletta to dance out her sorrows. Throughout the clip, Urban and company appear on the bar's tiny stage -- but pay close attention to the ending, because there's a small twist.

“Blue Ain’t Your Color” was written by Steven Lee Olsen, Hillary Lindsey and Clint Lagerberg and co-produced by Dann Huff and Urban. The country star admits that his father, Robert “Bob” Urban, who passed away in December — specifically, his dad’s affinity for Don Williams — influenced the song.

“[T]hat kind of strong downbeat, backbeat and little in-between rhythmic thing that is very, very Don Williams … really informed so much of how I play and how I rhythmically approach records,” Urban tells The Boot. “[“Blue Ain’t Your Color”] is a very, very stark, minimalistic way of recording, which really comes from those records that Don and Garth Fundis did …

“Don also had that attitude, too, like, the song is the picture, and the record is the frame. You’ve got to find the right frame, not too much and not too little, to make the picture really work,” Urban adds. “So for the songs that don’t need much, like “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” my dad’s record collection obviously has informed that a lot.”

Urban began his Ripcord World Tour on June 2 in Kansas City, Mo., with Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris as his special guests at his North American shows. In December, he and fellow country star Carrie Underwood will head to Australia and New Zealand.
