Kacey Musgraves' isn't having a great year so far, but at least she's got some new song material. The country singer's car was broken into sometime Monday night (Jan. 4) while she was seeing a show at Nashville concert venue 3rd & Lindsley.

Musgraves aired her frustrations on Twitter and joked that there may even be a song about stolen boots in her future. "Not sure if there's anything more country," she writes.

The "Blowin' Smoke" singer shares that she was parked across the street from the venue after 9:30PM, when the break-in happened. The thief claimed two pairs of boots from the vehicle — Musgraves' beloved Luccheses and Charlotte Olympias.

"Guess the a--bag who broke into my car tonight is gonna look pretty good," she says, understandably upset. "Someone had expensive taste and cheap standards."

Despite car damage and a few pairs of stolen kicks, Musgraves did ring in 2016 in style on stage with Willie Nelson in her home state of Texas. The singer performed Nelson's "Are You Sure" with the legend.

"The cherry on top of an ice cream dream of a year...singin' "Are You Sure" right before midnight," she shared via social media.

Musgraves returns to the road on Jan. 21 in Dallas for the Kacey Musgraves Country & Western Rhinesone Revue Tour, which runs through March. Later this year, she'll join George Strait in Las Vegas for his Strait to Vegas dates at the Las Vegas Arena.
